Judea

Our church’s “Judea” is the region within about an hour’s drive of our church—basically, the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex area.  As of 2006, the population in this region is already over 6.25 million people!

Here we have several local outreach ministry opportunities, including assisting with new church plants, relief and evangelistic ministries, and crisis ministry.  Some examples are:

  • Auto Mission - This is a ministry for troubled young men that helps teach them how to fix and rebuild cars—and, more importantly, to rebuild lives around a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The ministry center is in Richland Hills. There are many volunteer opportunities revolving around mentoring young boys. Contact Terry Legan for more details at 817-284-5055, or see http://www.automission.org/ .
  • Mission Makeover - This is a ministry for troubled young women that teaching them sewing, but it also helps them come to know Jesus as Lord of their lives. It is the sister ministry to Auto Mission (see above), located in the same building in Richland Hills. To volunteer as a mentor for young women or for more information, call Sherry Legan at 817-284-5055, or see http://www.missionmakeover.org/ .
  • Beautiful Feet Ministries – a holistic ministry primarily to the homeless in downtown Fort Worth Texas
