Jerusalem

At First Baptist Church Keller, our “Jerusalem” is defined as our community—within about a 15-minute drive of our church.  Tens of thousands of people are all around us, and more are moving in each day!  God has given us a responsibility to touch people even is they never come to our church. 

We have several community-centered ministries that are designed to reach people beyond our walls.  Some are:

• Greater Keller Impact 2007 – a neighborhood prayer and outreach strategy for church members to touch their own neighbors for Christ in creative ways
• Beacon Team — a team of lay people targeting new neighborhoods in our community by making visits to each home.
• Community Storehouse – supports needy people in our community with their material needs.  If you would like to help this in this ministry, please contact the Community Storehouse.
• Kids Beach Club – an evangelistic outreach for children at Freedom, Florence, and Woodland Springs Elementary Schools after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
• Nursing Home Ministries – Mimosa Manor, Sterling House, Whitley Place, North Pointe, Evergreen, Conservatory and Alterra
