Team arrives tired but withiout incident
Lawrence called about 5PM this evening (Thu, Jan15). He reported that they were all tired, but feeling healthy and very excited about getting to the village tomorrow evening (about noon to 2PM our time).
The conversation was short, partly because of a poor phone connection. He said 1) it was a very nice vehicle, roomy & comfortable thus far (however, they will be adding 2 or 3 more people before they get to the villages), 2) even given the vehicle, the travel was a grueling 15 hrs, including an extended delay at the border (for delay’s sake), 3) they used the time for great conversation and fellowship.
Praise God for
- planning a place for FBC-K to serve in taking the Message to those who have not heard.
- calling all men to Himself, from Keller to Mali.
- saints willing to go and give and pray.
- safety, even comfort, in travel.
Please pray for
- continued safety in travel.
- continued good health of the team.
- receptive hearts, especially in Village F where few have followed so far.
- leadership within the local Church.
ISAIAH 25
6 On this mountain the LORD Almighty will prepare
a feast of rich food for all peoples,
a banquet of aged wine—
the best of meats and the finest of wines.
7 On this mountain he will destroy
the shroud that enfolds all peoples,
the sheet that covers all nations;
8 he will swallow up death forever.
The Sovereign LORD will wipe away the tears
from all faces;
he will remove the disgrace of his people
from all the earth.
The LORD has spoken.
9 In that day they will say,
“Surely this is our God;
we trusted in him, and he saved us.
This is the LORD, we trusted in him;
let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.”
May THIS MOUNTAIN be in Mali, may ALL NATIONS include the Yalunka, may THAT DAY be even today. Amen.
